Darryeon Bishop

Darrion-Bishop1Darryeon was very quiet, very shy and challenged to make eye contact when we first met in 2012. I remember last year when he ‘fessed up during his interview that he had joined our program to become “more involved and learn how to speak up.” Darryeon, 19, has made great strides since then. He’s a hard worker and managed to attend classes this year while holding down a gig at Bush Stadium selling commodities. Darryeon is still rather shy but he’s more focused, more confident now. He’s attending Meramec Community College working toward his goal of becoming a computer engineer with his own business. His long-term goal, he says, is to become someone who “helps people in the community.”
